GETTING STARTED
The goal to get from A to B by vehicle you need three things, a vehicle, a driver and a valid uk driving license. To obtain a valid UK driving license you need to pass a theory and a practical test. To achieve success in both of these tests you need superb professional tuition from a driving school such as EDS
THE REQUIRMENTS
You must be at least 17 years old, or 16 if receiving disability living allowance. You must have a provisional driving license, which you can apply for up to 3 months before your 17th birthday. Application forms D1 and D750 are available from the post office.
THE TESTS
The theory test which you must pass in order to sit the practical test is in two parts, a multiple choice section, and a hazard perception test. The practical test assesses your ability to drive.
LESSONS
Regular structured lessons are by far the way to learn to drive, once you become confident backing this up with private practice is a great way to speed up the learning process. There are some legal requirements though the vehicle must have a current road fund license and a current MOT certificate and be road worthy. You must be insured to drive the vehicle, the supervising driver must be at least 21 and held a license for at least 3 years, they must be insured to drive the vehicle, the vehicle must display legally sized L plates on the front and rear of the vehicle and must be clearly visible, they should be removed when a full license holder is driving the vehicle
